Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent - FA'13

Dammit, Hedi. This is the first time Hedi Slimane's disappointed me. What da fuq is this ratty tatty 70's thrift store girly shit? The only thing that looks remotely Slimane is his whole disaffected youth thing. But I prefer when he goes more punk rocker androgynous, not this hoodrat crap. Oh well. I'm loyal, so I'll stand by Hedi Slimane & look forward to seeing what else he brings to Saint Laurent. Hopefully he'll go back to what he does best: tailoring.

Here are the few pieces from the line that I liked. Obviously only the jackets.

Hedi Slimane for Yves Saint Laurent SS13

Hedi's baaAAaack! Finally, after taking a design hiatus to pursue his photography, he's back making drool-worthy swag. His latest womenswear seems very witch-meets-Mask-of-Zorro. (Clearly I don't know what the f*ck I'm talking about when it comes to fashion. But I know what I like when I see it.) Loving the jackets, cigarette pants, sheer blouses, & the black white black black black.

Hedi Slimane

Hedi Slimane remains one of my favorite portrait photographers. Love his use of lighting, his (generally) androgynous subjects, and his sense of honesty. Here's the latest of his photography that I'm digging.
