Azealia Banks: "212" (Ft. Lazy Jay)

This girl's got a potty mouth, but dayyumm she makes me wanna dance! Listen to that bass. Great track, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of Azealia in 2012.

Rainbow Arabia - Without You

Fun poppy jam. They kinda sound like if Matt & Kim were to take a music trip around the world, got a bit of that world flavah mixed in.

Closets I'd raid: Miscellanous

Cleaning up my desktop, here's a jumble of things I've saved over the past 5 months or so.

Duran Duran - Girl Panic!

Normally I'm not big on supermodels, but this video totally ROCKS. Considering the video's directed by Jonas Akerland (who directed Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video), it's no surprise that I'm a fan of this. Duran Duran: nice to still see you rockin' in 2011.

Jordan Footwear: HO'11

Working for Jordan, I find myself taking loads of photos of shoes. THOUSANDS of photos. (waiiit, I thought I worked in Marketing?) Anyway, in my hybrid role I handle each & every shoe that Jordan sells. Of the some 200 shoes releasing this Holiday '11 season, here are my favorites (most of which are only sold in Men's sizes, la boo!).

Jordan AJ1 KO Premium (ah, classic! great leather, too)

Jordan Prime 5 (think: BOSTON BRUINS woop woop!)

Air Jordan 3 Retro (what the sneakerheads are drooling over)

Jordan Spiz'ike (don't normally like orange, but love that these POP)

Jordan Flight 45 TRK (winterized high tops with turquoise accents? YES)

Rolling Stones Archive: the '70s (photos by Michael Putland)

Ah, lovely Christmas ad!

Yes, it's a bit early for Christmas ads, but I'm sort of in love with this spot. Adorable scenes of a boy who can't wait for Christmas. (John Lewis? Never heard of the company. I think it's a department store in the UK). Music is a cover of the The Smith's "Please, Please, Please".

Uh Huh Her: "Another Case"

Looking forward to seeing them play this weekend! (Portland - Wonder Ballroom). Just last month these girls were kicked off their plane for smoochin. Apparently Southwest Airlines are gaymophobes. Anyway, besides the point. Digging this track.

It's hockey season: FIGHT.

13 years ago I left Portland for Boston to play more competitive Women's hockey (yeah, & to get that fancy prep-school education). Now since I've returned to Portland, I'm back to playing in the Men's leagues. Portland hockey hasn't changed much: poor-to-mediocre calibre, & there's always a few delusional old dudes who think they're in the NHL & find any excuse to Hulk-it-out. It's quite embarrassing (for them), but highly entertaining for me to watch. Here's a toast to the goons:

The Kills - "Baby Says"

DRAGFEST - even Alison Mosshart! YES. Love this song. One of the best bands I've seen live in the past couple years.
