Johan Rijpma: "Tape Generations"
Hypnotically cool video made by Dutch artist Johan Rijpma. Cary, I think you'd enjoy this. Maybe not the wastefulness of tape, but more the oddity & beauty that can come from such mundane things. And you gotta respect that attention to detail!

Cassius - I Love U So
Fun video for Cassius' "I Love You So", featuring the FIRST EVER interactive music video iPhone app. Came out last year, and shows a hodgepodge of fan-submitted clips (fans could download the app & then send in their footage).

Ron Mallezan
I'm drawn to illustrator Ron Mazellan's work in large part because I love portraiture, but also because I like his subjects and his expressive line quality. A lot of Mazellan's work features athletes, and obviously sports is a world that I know and care about. But whether or not he's depicting athletes, I like how his subjects are always treated with emotion and energy, often creating a sense of nostalgia.

A Journey Through Vietnam (by Leon Visser)
Dutch videographer Leon Visser gives us a look at his travels through Vietnam. Nicely filmed. Reminds me of my adventures with my friends through Asia -- chopsticks, moped traffic, overnight bus rides, hostel hangouts, bustling street markets, cheesy karaoke nights, incredible experiences. Makes me want to travel again.

Nike: Back To The Future
It's BAAAAACKK!!! Remember Michael J Fox's futuristic kicks in Back To The Future II? Well Nike's cookoo genius sneaker elves have finally unveiled the 2011 Nike MAG, which is basically the replica of MJ Fox's mythical kicks (minus levitating & self-tying capabilities). 1,500 pairs will be auctioned off on eBay, net proceeds going to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, supporting the fight against Parkinson's disease. I aint no sneakerhead, but I'm geekin out!
